Major auctions like Barrett-Jackson, Mecum, and RM Sotheby's operate on strict removal schedules. Vehicles left on the auction grounds past the published deadline incur daily storage fees that can exceed the cost of transport itself.

After a winning bid, immediately obtain your gate pass or release authorization from the auction administration office. Your carrier cannot load the vehicle without presenting this documentation at the lot exit.

Provide your enclosed transporter with the lot number, vehicle description, exact pickup location on the auction grounds, and the name of the auction contact who will release the vehicle to the driver.

Coordinate the title and bill of sale transfer in parallel. Some auctions hold the title until funds clear; your carrier may need a photocopy or release letter to accept the vehicle for transport.

For high-value auction wins, consider expedited or dedicated enclosed transport. The fewer intermediate stops on the route home, the lower the handling risk for a vehicle you just paid six or seven figures to acquire.
